#406 ‘Twas the night before Christmas (24)

‘Twas the night before Christmas and everything was finally ready. The gifts were all wrapped under the tree, having multiplied at the last minute and most of them suspiciously bearing the name of Hawkeye. The cookies and the milk have been set out for Santa and carrots for Rudolph. We considered leaving an actual half-eaten cookie rather than just crumbs, but there’s a not-so-insignificant chance that the cat might make off with Santa’s “left overs”. As it is, I wouldn’t put it past him to lick the plate clean.  There are mince pies on the table (firmly covered, because again, our cat is a pastry fiend.) The stocking is stuffed full of Terry’s Chocolate Oranges. And Santa’s gifts are sitting by the fireplace.

Happy and/or Merry Christmas everyone.
