I was scrolling through looking for a particular post the other day when I came across something on my own blog that absolutely horrified me.
I posted TWO posts numbered #176 on two consecutive days. Oh. My. God. I’m a day ahead. Wait, no. I’m a day behind. Wait, no. I’m…. aaaaaaarrrrrrgh!!!!!!!
*breathe in*
*breathe out*
Ok, yeah, I may have agonized about this error for all of, like, thirty seconds. But you know what? Day #176(1) and Day #176(2) were actually hellish. Toddler was recovering from a chest infection, I was recovering from a chest infection but coming down with the flu, and The Mister was in A&E overnight with a seriously hideous eye infection and sepsis. I think I can forgive myself for miscounting the days when I was struggling to even remember how to be a functional adult.
So, in honour of this really being Day #276 but not, I’ve decided to call my Day #176 snafu a blog leap day. Or kind of like a blog version of daylight savings time in the autumn when everyone “falls back” and you have the fun of staying up to see that it’s 1:30 am, and then an hour later discover that it’s still 1:30 am. You know here’s an extra hour in the day but you go around still pretending there’s 24 hours in the day.
So this is going to be a 365 day writing project with 366 days. Buy 365, get one free.
Featured photo is a panoramic shot I took in February 2016 at Derrygimla Beach in Connemara. It’s… relaxing. Exactly what this sort of freebie free-of-substance post needs. Just stare at it and chill out.
I’m just happy that I get an extra post!!
