This morning was bright and sunny, however it took a bit longer than usual to burn off the early morning mist, creating a bit of a surreal landscape where the nearby buildings, and trees looked physically solid and three dimensional, while the taller structures in the distance (mostly the current crop of construction cranes and new high rises) took on the ethereal quality of an oil painting. They looked flat, as if someone had hung a canvas backdrop from the sky.
